Chainco completes inspection, control, and classing of all kinds of chains on locations around the world. Via our chain inspection unit, we can offer machine-driven and efficient inspections of chains up to 100/120 mm in diameter. The unit is mobile and can therefore complete inspections at the required location. The unit can compete an inspection of 2000 meters of chain in a 24-hour period.
The inspection unit has three work stations including a post press for ring chains (Ø 76/ Ø 120). The unit is transported on a barge with a 900 ton load capacity.
Chainco has more than 30 years’ experience in the inspection and control of chains for companies within the oil and gas, seafaring and land-based industries.
Chainco has a tugboat which is accessible to our clients at our base area. The boat has high maneuvering abilities and is equipped with 2 x 400 kW shuttle-propeller, a 20-ton meter crane, 40-ton towing winch, and is in addition equipped with a BP of 13 tons.
We offer the storage of chains and anchors at our base area in Bremanger, Norway. The area is easily accessible by a harbor. The harbor area offers the opportunity for the arrival of supply boats and freighters.
A wheel loader is accessible for use for transportation and the moving of equipment at our base area. The wheel loader has forks and the capacity to transport 18 tons.
An excavator with a capacity of 46 tons is accessible for the handling of chains and other equipment which is stored at our base area.
The Chainco team has more than 30 years’ experience within the inspection and sale of chains and related equipment. Since 2012 we have completed inspections with a chain inspection unit (CIU) for a wide range of clients within the oil and gas and offshore sectors.
